What should you expect during your visit?
At Vista Dental Center, Dr. John Garza and his hand-picked team of dental professionals are committed to providing you and your family with safe and high quality dental care. Our primary goal is to make you feel comfortable visiting our dental practice while providing the best care possible.
What happens during my first dental visit?
Your first visit is all about you. During your first visit to Vista Dental Center, we will review your dental and medical history forms if available, and take X-rays of your teeth and mouth. (We use state-of-the-art digital radiographs that give the most diagnostic information with the least amount of exposure to radiation.) Then Dr. Garza will meet with you to discuss your X-rays, help you create your own individual treatment plan, and answer any questions that you may have. If you are due for your dental cleaning, one of our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth, checking your teeth and gums for any cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis.
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
Bring your smile, but also remember to bring these with you to your first appointment:
• Your completed patient information form (DOWNLOAD HERE)
• Your insurance card
How often should I make dental appointments?
Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile! The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit us, please remember that your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.
